A tasting journal for natural wine

Remember every bottle.

Photograph the label, jot down what you tasted, and come back to it a year later. Sipz.vin keeps your notes, your producers and your study material in one place that works without a signal.

Invite only. Not open to the public.

What it is

A cellar you can search

Every wine, every vintage, and every time you tasted it, each with its own date and notes. Search by producer, grape, region, a word from your notes, or a place you drank it.

Photos and notes together

Take the photo in the app, add your tasting notes, tag it, rate it. Bring in an old WhatsApp chat of bottle photos and notes and it turns into dated tastings.

Producers on a map

See where your wines come from, with a short note on each producer. Regions are drawn as outlines where a reliable boundary exists, and pins where it does not.

Study alongside

WSET Level 3 notes, grape profiles, regions by country, comparisons for grapes that look alike, and flashcards that bring a card back when you are due to forget it.

Yours, and only yours

Each person has their own private cellar, notes and flashcards. Nobody else can see what you have tasted, and you cannot see theirs.

Your journal lives on your phone first, so it works on a train, in a cellar, or anywhere without signal. It backs itself up in the background when you are online, and a new phone can restore everything.

Why it is invite only

Sipz.vin is a small, personal project, not a public service. Access is limited to people who have been invited, and the list is checked by the server every time the app is used, not just when you sign in. If you have not been invited, you will not be able to sign in.

Know someone who is already in? Ask them. Otherwise, there is nothing to sign up for yet.

Heads up. The app is not in any app store, and there is no download on this page. Invited people are sent the app directly.
